Complete Care is a fresh new face on the home warranty sector, but it’s already making waves. With homeowner-friendly policies like no age limit on covered items, unlimited claims, and no home inspection required, Complete Care helps homeowners get coverage for a wide variety of systems and appliances. Consumers can purchase annual plans for one set, or they can opt for a combination plan. Complete Care coverage is available for renters too
|Annual premium||Starts at $440|
|Plan types||Systems, Appliances, Combo|
|HVAC||Yes on systems or combo plans|
|Home Inspection Required||No|
|24/7 Claims Department||Yes|
Complete Care covers the normal wear and tear or breakdown of covered items included in the policyholder’s plan. So, if you opt for the systems-only plan, Complete Care will cover the usual malfunctions or deteriorations that occur from normal use of home systems like heating, air conditioning, and plumbing networks.
Which and how many items are covered depends on the plan you choose (we’ll go into more detail about each one in the section below). Suffice it to say that Complete Care plans are pretty inclusive, though the appliance plan doesn’t cover some smaller items like ice makers or microwaves. For the appliance plan, you’ll get coverage for 10 appliances. The systems plan covers 6 home systems. Meanwhile, the combo plan covers both these lists for a total of 16 items. You can also purchase coverage for additional items or uncovered items like a spa or tankless water heater.
|ITEM||Systems Plan||Appliances Plan||Combo Plan|
|Garage door opener||x||✔||✔|
|Attic and exhaust fans||x||✔||✔|
|Toilet tanks and bowls||x||x||x|
|Whirlpool bath motor and pump||x||x||x|
As mentioned, Complete Care has a pretty solid coverage schedule for most home appliances and systems. It covers all of the basics like HVAC, plumbing, refrigerators, and washing machines. It would be nice to see coverage for the smaller items like a microwave, but the coverage is still good by industry standards.
Additional coverage can also be purchased from Complete Care for the following items:
Currently, Complete Care home warranty offers 3 plans for its coverage. You can get the systems plan, the appliance plan, or the combination plan. The first 2 plans are ideal for homeowners that have newer appliances and systems, and know that they're pretty reliable but just want coverage for specific things. Alternatively, you might not know which items are questionable around your home, or you might just want to have the assurance that you are covered in case something does break down. If that's the case, then the combo plan will give you the greatest peace of mind.
Here’s a pricing breakdown for the 2 basic plans. For combo plan pricing, you can be in touch with the Complete Care customer care directly.
|Appliance Plan||System Plan|
|Per year||Starts at $420||Starts at $499|
In addition to having reasonable annual pricing, Complete Care offers one of the lowest service fees in the market. It's just $45 per visit. Best of all, though, you can get a 30-day risk-free trial period to test out the service. If you are not happy with the results, cancel for a full refund.
One of the biggest draws of this company is Complete Care's flexible home warranty coverage terms. For one thing, there's no age limit on your systems or appliances. This is a relief for many homeowners, considering the fact that most people require repairs and replacements for older items (the new ones generally work fine!).
What’s more, with Complete Care home warranty policies, you don’t need to provide any maintenance records. You also don’t need a home inspection before coverage can begin. This is unusual for the industry as many home warranty policy providers do require some sort of inspection or record before they’re willing to provide coverage.
Finally, there's no limit to the number of claims you can make using your home warranty policy. Once you are a Complete Care customer, you can call a technician whenever you need help. Here's how that works:
Customer care is available 24/7 and 365 a year. So, you can call for help even in the middle of the night.
One downside to working with Complete Care is that you need to use the technicians in the network, i.e., you can't call in your own guy. But Complete Care has a large network of experienced technicians, so you shouldn't have a problem in this case.
The technician will assess the problem and fix the issue. If a repair is not possible, it's okay, because Complete Care has a protection guarantee. That means if it can't be fixed, Complete Care will replace your item according to the terms of your policy. Homeowners will pay a service fee of $45 for every visit from a technician.
