Any commercial grade equipment or systems in your home are not covered. For example, if you have a “Viking professional series range” in your kitchen, coverage will be limited to a set dollar amount.
Exclusions include issues caused by rust, power surges etc. which may come as a surprise to customers who have not read the terms and conditions thoroughly.

The Choice Home Warranty website provides a clear chart detailing what is covered by their plans. There are two plans - ‘Basic’ and ‘Total’. Terms and conditions are clearly laid out on the Choice Home Warranty website and although they may be considered restrictive, they are no more so than the other top service providers in the industry.
The customer is required to pay a $60 service fee to the contractor when they arrive at the service address - this is on a par with most other home warranty providers.
