My Home Warranty, better known as HSA Home Warranty, is the successful brainchild of company CEO Robert Lehman. Founded more than 30 years ago, HSA is headquartered in Cross Plains and covers the entire United States from its Wisconsin base. HSA, or Home Security of America, has earned it’s A+ accreditation from the BBB by being a transparent, reliable and honest company since its inception in 1984. With the intention of providing millions of American homeowners both protection and convenience at an affordable cost, HSA specializes in the real estate market at the buying and selling point. Dedicated to ‘service excellence’ and with a strong focus on using regional and local staff, HSA is one of the true All-American companies still trading with a focus on the consumer – rather than its own bottom line.
HSA Home Warranty is available to consumers in two main categories – either as an Existing Homeowner or as a Buyer/Seller involved in a transaction. Both types of consumer have access to the same two plans, but the Buyer/Seller contracts are temporary for up to 6 months for sellers and up to 12 months for buyers.
Existing Homeowners are eligible for the Basic Plan, which will cost around $699 annually or $58 monthly. These prices can vary between states and you can opt to reduce these fees by taking a slightly higher deductible. The Basic Plan protects heating, thermostats, ductwork, water heating, plumbing, faucets, toilets, main lines, bathtubs, electrical systems, fans, garage door openers, lighting fixtures, alarms, ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators, microwaves, septic system and failures due to breakdown, sediment, rust or corrosion.
The more comprehensive 7 Star Upgrade plan comes in at around $850 per year or $71 monthly. As well as covering everything from the Basic Plan, this package also provides coverage for ancillary items like individual components of appliances, but also commits cash toward code violations and upgrades on existing systems. It will also cover disposal of any replaced equipment, guard against improper installation and even contributes toward crane charges for rooftop repairs.
HSA makes it easy to get in contact with its support team, nothing short of what you’d expect from such an established and respected business. Committed to its own high standards of service excellence, HSA gives you the option of getting in touch via phone, fax, mail, e-mail, Google+, Twitter, Facebook and physically at their office location in Wisconsin. We spoke to a number of customer support agents and found each and every one of them to be sympathetic, knowledgeable and not the least-bit pushy in sales.
You would do well to find a home warranty company with more experience and ability than HSA.
